I know there was just one topic asking what asexual is but i want to stop all the topics once & for all. Most people just assume what it is & many just don't understand it. So I'm going to explain what it is... The official definition of asexual is a lack of sexual attraction of either genders and with little to no sex drive. Some asexuals say they do enjoy sexual feelings, but still do Not experience sexual attraction. Being asexual usually does not interfere with romantic attraction - unless the asexual is aromantic as well. It also does Not mean you can't fall in love with someone.
Asexuals can be attracted to the opposite, same or both sexes in a non sexual way. Asexuals often say the are straight asexual, gay asexual etc depending on what gender they like.
Also, asexuality isn't necessarily related to celibacy. Many asexuals have had sex before. They usually do this to please their partner, experiment or have babies. Some asexuals do masturbate, but it's simply a physical act, no sexual fantasies involved.
There are also too many common myths which will be explained in at least one of the links (this is one of them).
Asexuality isn't limited to humans either. It has also been found in other mammals (such as gerbils) & birds.
